Original Item. Only One Available. This is a scarce example of the commercially-produced commando dagger by William Rodgers of Sheffield, England. This model of knife was reportedly favored by many Royal Air Force Commandos, and they are now quite difficult to find. This example comes with the original label on the handle, in its original leather belt sheath.
The 6” blade is marked on the ricasso:
WILLIAM
RODGERS
ICUT MYWAY
And on the other side:
MADE IN
SHEFFIELD
ENGLAND
There is minor oxidation spotting on the blade. The stacked leather grip is in fantastic condition with the original paper label still almost entirely retained. The overall length is 10 ⅜”.
The leather belt sheath is in good shape and is the correct model for this maker. The securing strap and snap are in great order, and the leather is still pliable with some heavy wear to the back.
A great example of a sought-after Commando dagger, ready for display.
