- Original Item: Only One Available. This helmet is fascinating piece of military history. Privately purchased officer's helmets such as these were known as "Bombay Bowlers." They were mostly made in India, however the manufacturing was done by Chinese immigrants displaced by the war. Hong Kong was known to produce Sun Helmets, this example bears a Chinese script Hong Kong maker label for the Ling WAH factory. This helmet comes complete with canvas chinstrap and dates from the 1930s or 1940s. Most likely it was owned by a British Officer serving in India or South East Asia. Size is approximately 56cm (US 7).
