Original British WWII 1944 Dated Tank Crew Pixie Suit by Wareings Ltd

Original Item: Only One Available. This is an apparently unissued near mint condition WW2 British Pixie/Tank Suit by Wareings Ltd dated 1944. The tanksuit made its first appearance in July 1943 as replacement of the previously used assortment of uniforms and oilskin clothing worn by tank crew. They are known as Tank Suits or Pixie Suits and had a detachable hood. The suits were made to fit loosely for comfort in the confines of a tank. Battledress was worn underneath. This example does not have the hood but has original Lightning zippers in fully functional condition, Newey snaps and the original label present in the right sleeve. It is dated 1944 with Size No. 6 and comes complete with braces and waist-belt.
