  • One Only. Original Item.

Original Item: Only One Available. Found hanging in an English barn this is a totally original oil lantern manufactured in 1916 expressly for use in the WW1 trenches.

Complete with the burner and wick, it retains all four glass panes and the original makers metal plaque embossed:

CHRISTOPHER COLLINS LTD., BIRMINGHAM. MANUFACTURERS 1916

Steel outer of the lantern is pitted from exposure but totally original in the black finish that it had in WW1. We have not tested it for function but can see no reason why it would not work.
