Original British WWI Royal Flying Corps Leather Flying Helmet with Goggles

Only One Set Available: This is a wonderful brown leather chamois-lined flying helmet with buckle chinstrap. Typical British construction of the period with all snaps and buckles present; snaps are all period correct. The leather is soft and supple in most places, but the securing strap shows heavy wear. The chamois lining is in excellent condition and totally complete with what appears to be a period repair. Helmet is approximate size 58/59cm (a nice large size).
The goggles are extraordinary. Featuring leather construction with steel round eye brackets encasing glass lenses with a classic elastic strap which is worn with a repair but is still stretchy! The eye-pieces have lovely fur padding around the end.
This is a tremendous grouping that is now very difficult to find, ready for further research and display!
