Original British WWI Regimental Bugle with Tasseled Cord Wrapping - Royal Welsh Fusiliers

Here is a Regimental Bugle, of perfectly standard brass and copper construction made and has a regimental brass badge soldered onto the bell, reading ROYAL WELSH FUSILIERS. The badge has a large 23 in the middle, and is in the shape of a flaming grenade, the standard insignia of the Royal Welsh Fusiliers, also known as the 23rd regiment of foot. The regiment has had various names over the years, and the spelling of "Welsh" indicates that this was issued before 1920, when the the archaic spelling "Welch" was restored. Unfortunately, the placement of the badge is exactly where maker information for the bugle would have been, so we cannot see who the maker is.
This Bugle, which is totally authentic, has lain in an attic for probably 75 years, and does not appear to have seen much field use. The mouthpiece is likely a replacement, and it does have a chain though it is broken away from the ring.
The bugle has a lovely regimental cord attached, or red, green, blue, and yellow, which gives it a nice look.
The Royal Welsh Fusiliers served extensively during WWI, fielding numerous Regular, Territorial, and Service battalions on the Western Front and in other theaters including Gallipoli, Salonika, Egypt, and Palestine. The regiment suffered heavily during the conflict and became closely associated with some of the major campaigns of the British Army between 1914 and 1918.
The combination of the brass and copper bugle construction, soldered Royal Welsh Fusiliers flaming-grenade badge, central 23 regimental number, pre-1920 “Welsh” spelling, surviving multicolored tasseled cord, mouthpiece, and retaining chain makes this a particularly interesting piece of British regimental material. The concealed maker marking, likely replacement mouthpiece, and broken chain attachment are the principal condition and completeness considerations, while the surviving badge firmly connects the bugle with the historic 23rd Foot during the period in which the regiment officially bore the Royal Welsh Fusiliers title.
