  • Original Item: One of a Kind. Purchased from the family's Estate Sale in England, this lovely four-draw brass telescope has been completely cleaned, polished and serviced and gives a great image. It is leather bound, complete with extending Sun Shade, and measures 39" when fully extended and just 10 1/2" when closed. The eyepiece has a sliding dust cover, which still moves easily. The barrel closest to the eyepiece is marked with the owner's name and regiment:

    MAJr. RICHARD TODD ELLISON
    1st LIFE GUARDS

We only know that Major Ellison saw service at MONS in 1914. A fine telescope with plenty of research potential. Ready to display!
