Original Item. One-of-a-Kind. This is a very pretty scrapbook compiled during World War I, the majority of which contains family and landscape photographs with very detailed captions. 16 of the 96 photographs depict men in military attire, with 7 of those 16 depicting planes. The plane photographs are all in the last 2 pages. The rest of the album has a myriad of photos on the homefront, some with parades.
The album measures 8 x 6¼”, and the exterior cover has a heavy amount of white spotting. The plane in most of the plane photos is a D.H.9 aircraft, with one photo being of a seaplane. All photos appear to have been taken in England, and depict civilian life during the First World War.
A very nice photo album with some research potential, ready for further research and display.
