This compass is offered in uncleaned, as found in the attic condition. It is said to have been brought back by the retreating British Army during the evacuation highlighted by the Recent Movies, "DUNKIRK" and "THEIR FINEST HOUR"., however we unfortunately have no way to verify this. Also, the compass is unfortunately missing the carrying ring and prism, which are often missing and sourced off of later prismatic compasses.
