Item Description
Original Item: Only One Available. Measuring 20.5' in overall length, this is one of the longest British Police Truncheons we've seen. Dating from the Victorian era (1837-1901) it is painted with Queen Victoria's Crown over The Royal Standard motif encompassed by a belt inscribed 'HONI SOIT QUI MALY PENSE' (Evil to him, who evil thinks). Beneath the Royal cypher is another shield showing lions to the four corners divided by a white cross each arm of which shows five arrowheads.
This is the cypher of the City of Issue. The truncheon has a satin finish painted background and the Crown and Cyphers in Gold, Red Blue and White are muted from age.
