Original British Victorian Officer's Glass Bottom Horn Spirit Flask with Silver Plated Fittings

Original item: Only one Available. In truth this could have belonged to a wealthy landowner as well from which to draw comfort on a cold day's shooting on the estate and just maybe he was an Officer too. Nevertheless this is exactly what Officer's carried on Campaign in Victorian times. The well figured horn stands 9" tall with a silver band around the flared bottom supporting a glass bottom for easily spotting the game or the insurgent.
The top has a cork lined flip lid which is secured by a half turn once closed. There is NOT a mark on it, not the name of a Duke or even that of a Lieutenant. However, it still is a really cool Victorian Gentleman's or Officer's essential accessory.
