  • This is an up-market example of this Victorian Belt Buckle in that it made manufactured with a a full frame around it not normally encountered. Really most attractive this buckle was usually attached to a ornately woven regimental belt displaying the Regimental colors or upon occasion to a white leather field service belt for use on the frontier in the Colonies.


    Of brass base construction overlaid in what appears to be Silver the V.R. monogram under a Queen's Crown adorned with laurel leave branches to either side and Motto on ribbons reading: DIEU ET MON DROIT which means GOD IS MY RIGHT, a reference to the "Divine Right" of royalty to rule.
