Original Item: Only One Available. Now this is a lovely example of a likely-late Victorian era police “Bobby” billy club truncheon. The club itself is beautifully painted with Royal Coat of Arms, but unfortunately there is a long stretch where the paint has worn away, and there is nothing that dates the truncheon to any era. From its construction and look we believe it to be late Victorian. It does have a beautiful matured look to it with signs of heavy use and then paint loss in the center.
The truncheon measures 9 3/4” long and has an overall gorgeous patina.
A fantastic example, ready for further research and display.
