Original British Victorian Era Royal Artillery Officer's "Gimp" Leather Waist Belt

Original Item: One Set Only. Directly out of the attic! This is an original Victorian era Officer's "Gimp" Belt from the Royal Artillery regiment of the British Army. It has two "Queen's Crown" buckles, joined by an "S-hook" embossed with UBIQUE (Everywhere), the short form of the Royal Artillery's Motto, Ubique Quo Fas Et Gloria Ducunt (Everywhere, Where Fate and Glory Lead).
Like most "Gimp" belts, it is constructed of a folded leather body with gold "gimped" embroidery attached to the front. The belt its gold buckles and sliders in place, however the gold embroidered cloth portion has had the edge seams pop on part of the belt, so it is separated from the leather backing. In the current setup it measures approximately 30 inches from the hook to the other buckle, but looks like it probably extend about another 5 inches.
A lovely old set probably 170 years of age. Ready to display.
