Original British Victorian Bobby Police Truncheon with V.R. Proof - circa 1870-1900

Original Item: Only One Available. In lovely matured condition, this is the standard Victorian issue Police Truncheon supplied to each Constable (Bobby) and carried in a hidden pocket in his right hand trouser leg. No longer having its wrist loop of string or leather, it has a grooved circular grip and measures 18" overall.
There is slight wood loss to the pommel, and the truncheon is stamped CROWN over V.R., dating from the final 20-30 years of the reign of Queen Victoria who
died in 1901.
