  • Original Item. Only One Available. This is an extremely well made iron framed flintlock pocket pistol by one of Britain's better known makers, JOHN WATERS OF BIRMINGHAM, who worked from 1767 until 1781 and was best known for his invention of the "Spring Bayonet" often found on Blunderbusses and assorted pistols.

The weapon measures just 5 3/4" in overall length with a screw off 1 1/4" smooth bored iron cannon barrel. The entire wood stock is profusely covered in sweeping curls of inlaid silver wire. The box lock receiver is also fully engraved, and marked WATERS in a banner on the left side. The bottom of the barrel is fully proof marked. Really most impressive.

A lovely Flintlock pocket pistol for any Gentleman or Military Officer. Ready to display!
