Item Description
Original Item: One Only. The Traditional Bobby helmet was named after the creator of the British Police Force, SIR ROBERT PEEL, who became Prime Minister under Queen Victoria. This version, known as a "Comb Top" features a silvered Helmet plate with a Crown to top over a star burst containing a blue enameled ring around EIIR. There is METROPOLITAN POLICE in chrome letters set into the enamel.
Interestingly the helmet which has its regular black leather chin strap also has a it's thick RIOT liner and four point black web RIOT chinstrap as well. The liner is in great shape, and has the original size label marked 58cm.
The enamel on the badge very slightly marred, perhaps as the result of a police action which resulted in the helmet being discharged from service. Completely authentic from the London Police force known as THE MET. In great condition, ready to display.
