  • Original Item: One of a kind. This is a very nice British patriotic ceramic bowl, measuring 6 1/2" across and displaying various pastoral scenes around the exterior. The interior bears a dedication to GEN’L BURGOYNE, also known as "Gentleman Johnny", on the interior.

Dating to the 1770's, once the famous loss at Saratoga Springs occurred he drifted away into history. He never held another military post after that, though he did become an accomplished playwright. He also sat in the House of Commons for many years.

Cracked in at least three places, this is still very rare and a revolutionary war item. Displays well, not to be used.
