Original British P-1827 Regimental Officer Sword with Scabbard

Original Item: Only One Available. Expressly designed for Officers of the rifle regiments being formed all over England in the early Victorian era many of whom were volunteers.
These swords typically have copiously engraved blades bearing a hunting horn decoration that is also incorporated under a Queen's Crown in the open work nickel-plated steel guard. Features a lovely sharkskin grip secured by plaited brass wire.
A nice example complete with nickel-plated all steel scabbard and evidence of much dried metal polish from many years of display and care.
