Features a quality walnut wood stock with checkering on the wrist, original 30-inch barrel with strong rifling remaining and a silver, un-engraved small silver escutcheon. The breach block displays the Snider logo.
The lock shows a double line border engraving and is marked-

Dating to from approximately 1865-1869 this was a time of great enthusiasm for military rifle shooting competitions and marksmanship programs even attended by Queen Victoria on Wimbledon Common in London. Overall this is a fine Percussion purpose built private purchase Snider rifle.
