Original Item. Only One Available. This is a lovely late 18th Century British Cannoneer’s water keg, branded with a broad arrow over B O, for “Board of Ordnance”, the typical marking of the period. Unfortunately the keg is empty. It has the correct "bunghole" on the top for filling, and the long bung plug is still retained, though we are not sure if it’s the original.
The keg measures roughly 8½" x 6”, and retains the iron handle connected to the two inner iron hoops. A great example with a lovely patina, ready for further research and display.
