  • Original Item. Only One Available. This is a great example of an early clip point Bowie knife manufactured by the Imperial Sword Company of London, England, for the U.S. trade. This is a very well-known and frequently-reproduced model of knife, and this model saw use in the Spanish-American War by American soldiers.

This example sports a 10” clip point bowie blade, which is stamped on one side:

    IMPERIAL SWORD
    CO. LONDON

The overall length is roughly 15 ⅛”. The dual round quillion cross guard is made as one piece with the hilt, which is fitted with a pair of smooth contoured wooden grips. There is some cracking in the grips as shown. There is also heavy wear to the blade, but the shape is still solid without any serious edge nicking.

An excellent British-made Bowie knife for the U.S. market, ready for display.

    Specifications:
    Blade Length: 10"
    Overall length: 15 1/8“
    Crossguard: 3 ⅛”
