Original Item: Released from British government storage in the early 1990s we were fortunate to obtain just a few examples. These helmets had been issued then held in storage prior to sale to IMA.
This is an absolutely genuine original British Life Guards parade helmet and comes complete with the original leather liner, ringed chin scales and white dyed genuine horsehair plume. The helmet plate displays the "Queen's Crown" indicating military service after 1952. The helmet does show use and long time neglected storage and is in need of a good cleaning. No collector has ever owned this helmet as it came, after service, directly from military stores to our warehouse.
