Original Item: Only One available. Straight out of the barn! This is real and not just for signalling. These small cannons have a bore of about 1.2", which does not sound very big, but in truth could deliver a hearty thump. These were deployed in long boats and often taken ashore during "raiding parties".
This example, plainly very old and having lain in a barn for many many years, is both rusted and a bit shabby. The five step wood carriage was once painted black like the rest of the cannon, and shows much use and age, which only makes it that much more attractive! The barrel is just 22" in length and that dictates the length of the Cannon carriage, which is fitted with four wood wheels and at the widest point which is at the wheel axles, it is 11" wide.
Perfect to display at home or even in the office. A genuine British Royal Naval small Deck Cannon, in need of a good clean and then display.
