Original British Fire Brigade Silvered Merryweather Officer Helmet

Original Item (refurbished): Dating from pre WW2 this is a brass helmet known as the "Merryweather" pattern used by British fire fighters from Victorian times up through WW2.
The silvered variety was for use by Officers and the brass finished examples by other ranks, the ones that actually did the work.
Replaced soon after WW2 with modern non-flammable lightweight helmets these vintage helmets are getting very difficult to find.
Original shells that were used then we refurbished with replacement leather liner and chin strap these make excellent decoration items commemorating society's finest who put their lives on the line for other every day. Only a couple available!
