  • Original Item: Only One Available. Displaying a "king's crown" on the helmet plate indicates that this helmet dates to just after 1901 when King Edward VII came to the throne after the death of Queen Victoria, his mother.


    Offered in nice vintage condition complete with gilded brass spike assembly and other mounts including the ringed chin scales. Comes complete with leather headband and red silk lining, partially torn. It is nicely maker marked as follows:

    The Royal Norfolk Regiment, originally formed as the Norfolk Regiment, was an infantry regiment of the British Army. The Norfolk Regiment was created on 1 July 1881 as the county regiment of Norfolk. It was formed from the 9th (the East Norfolk) Regiment of Foot and covered the local militia and rifle volunteers


    Battalions of the Norfolks fought in the First World War on the Western Front and in the Middle East.
