Item Description
Original Item. Only One Available. This is a lovely British Military SAWES Projector laser device, dated 1985 with an NSN number plate, in good condition. The Small Arms Weapons Effect Simulator (SAWES) was a training device used by the British Army during the 1980s. It consisted of an infrared projector mounted on the L1A1 self-loading rifle and later the SA80, and a harness with receptors to receive the beams to simulate hits.
This example retains its original rubber eyepiece, which is often missing on these. The data plate on the side reads:
PROJECTOR, LASER, L1A1 (BROAD ARROW)
6920-99-966-7468
SER. NO. 0351R
MID 1985
We are unsure what rifle this example was meant to attach to, but it is in great shape overall without any serious damage. There is no battery, but one could probably be found for use.
A nice example, ready for further research and display.
