  • Original Item: Only One Available. JAMES FREEMAN worked in London from 1705 until 1782. Here is a charming flintlock pocket pistol produced by him, with a brass Cannon barrel. The overall length is 9" with a turn off barrel for loading of 3 1/2", though the barrel is now frozen in place.

Nicely signed FREEMAN on one side of the frame and LONDON on the other. The wood flat sided walnut grip is inlaid extensively with Silver wire. Probably dating to the 7 years war, also known as the French and Indian War of 1756 until 1763.

A really nice beautifully matured example which is ready to display!
