Original British .303cal Martini-Enfield Rifle P-1895 Socket Bayonet in Excellent Condition with Scabbard
Original Item: Only One Available. Just purchased from a private collector, this is probably the best condition Martini-Enfield P-1895 socket bayonet we have ever seen! It still has full bluing on the socket, with just a bit of rust peppering. However the real eye-catcher is the blade, which is in fantastic condition, with just a bit of staining on the otherwise beautiful bright steel finish. The locking ring moves securely, and the 21 inch long triangular blade still has fully legible markings on the ricasso. These indicate it was first made in 1883, and converted in 1900 for the Martini-Enfield .303 Rifle.
The included scabbard is also in great shape, with a lovely patina on the brass components, and leather that does not appear to have split at the seam, like these so often do. There are even stampings in the finish that can still be seen, and both the drag and throat are properly "WD" marked.
If you were looking for a great example of a P-1895 Martini-Enfield bayonet, this is it!
