Original British .303cal Martini-Enfield Rifle 1876/95 Socket Bayonet
Item Description
Original Item: Recovered from the Egyptian Citadel armory in the 1970s, these are 21-inch triangular bladed 1876 Martini-Henry Rifle socket bayonets converted in 1895 to fit 455/577 Martini-Henry rifles that had been converted into .303cal Martini-Enfield rifles. Internal diameter of the socket is approximately 0.665". Markings vary but all will have Arabic and British markings. As seen in Lawrence of Arabia!
