  • Original Item: One-of-a-kind. This is a very rare British Dragoon Flintlock pistol made by R. FARLOW who worked in London between 1702 and 1750. This 1737 dated example predates the pattern of 1738 that has long ears to the brass butt cap that became the standard on Dragoon pistols until the 1790s. It has the standard 12" Dragoon barrel and the mounts are those in the style of the first model Brown Bess.

    The lock is marked:

    [CROWN ]

    G.R.

and is marked across the tail:

    FARLOW

    1737

Offered in nice tight sound condition it is a great example of an extremely rare Dragoon Pistol.
