Original Item. Only One Available. This is a very scarce Wallonien Rexist “Blood Order” Honor Badge. The Rexist party was a fascist Political party formed in Belgium in the 1930s. When the Third Reich occupied Belgium, many members of the party assisted the German forces. Many of the members of this organization joined the Belgium foreign volunteer units which fought with the Waffen SS. It is believed that these badges were awarded to party members who were either wounded or for making a special sacrifice on behalf of the Rexist Party.
There are period photos of members of the Waffen SS wearing these badges on their left breast pockets.
This example shows heavy overall wear with a silver tone and some casting flaws in the sword blade. The rear shows the hollow construction with a vertical pinback and catch. The badge measures 1 9/16 x 1 13/16”.
