Original Item. Only One Available. This is a very interesting Post-WWII Belgian grenade which we’ve found very little reference about. It is referred to as the M62, but this variation is marked as M62BG, and has a much different fuze system with a tape system with a small brass cover and pull ring. Like all deactivated ordnance, this grenade is Not Available for Export.
The grenade is marked:
OFF GR
M62BG
TNT/S 35/65
LOT 1 ASM 65
The other side is embossed LOT-S 4-64. This likely denotes a date of April 1964. The brass fuze cover comes off easily to show the tape wrapped around the fuze with a small metal piece at the end. The fuze unscrews to inspect the interior.
A very interesting grenade, worthy of further research. Ready to display.
