Original Belgian .30 Rimfire Pocket Revolver with Foldaway Trigger c.1880 - Liège Proofed

Item Description

Original Item: Only One Available. This is a small LADY'S revolver often carried "at Night" for self protection. Made in Liege, Belgium for World distribution these were essential for Big City living i the late Victorian Age. Six shot in 7.5mm or approx .30 caliber was enough to see any unwanted attentions off and with a fold away trigger the revolver was easy to conceal, maybe in a garter of purse.

The revolver retains much of its original nickel-plated finish, and its wood grips are still nicely checkered. It is marked in various locations with 6, which is apparently the serial number. It also has THE MOST PERFECTED MODEL engraved on the cylinder, however the last word is worn off by pitting.

The cylinder is also stamped with the Belgian E. / L.G. / * in an oval marking, indicating manufacture in the legendary gun-making city of Liège, Belgium. It also has some Crown / R markings and other proofs. The action cycles well in single and double action, and the loading gate and ejector rod are present and functional.

A very necessary item for a Lady's self protection in Victorian England, New York or any city in the U.S. Antique and ready to display!
