Original Item. Only One Available. This is an outstanding statue of an Austro-Hungarian soldier, likely around 1914, sitting atop a large granite base. The statue measures 20” tall and the base is 4 ½ x 6 ¾”. The soldier itself is 13¾” tall. The soldier is a small bit wobbly on the base, but it doesn't appear to be at any risk of coming off. The statue is only missing its rifle, but thankfully it doesn’t look to have been torn away, and none of the statue was damaged.
The soldier is wearing his M1908 Army cap with cockade, and a chinstrap. He is wearing his full kit including knapsack. Bread bag, bayonet, mess kit, and more. The statue weighs just under 20 pounds at 19.65lb.
An outstanding Austro-Hungarian soldier’s statue, ready for further research and display.
