  • Original Items. One-of-a-Kind. This is a great small WWI Austro-Hungarian photo album, likely belonging to an officer. The small album measures 4 ¾ x 7 ¼” and has a hole in the cover to show the first photo, labeled “Odessa Kiroto”, depicting a port city.

The interior cover of the album is marked at the top Abbazia 1914 jul 22 - aug 2. / Retley Pista felvetrlei. Most of the photos have inscriptions above them or on the back of the cards. There are three photos of troops in front of a train, one shot of an officer in a chair dated August 28th, 1918, possibly the owner. There are six different photos of Odessa demolished or on fire during the war.

Some of the pages are disconnected and some photos have damage.

A very nice but small Austro-Hungarian photo album, ready for further research and display.
