Original Item: Only One Available. First issued in 1877, the "Colonial Pattern" pith helmet continues to be an Iconic Design, used throughout the former territories of the British Empire. This is an Australian Military Band Spiked helmet, made from faux leather covered plastic, with the complete inner rigging intact. It still retains the original top spike, and has the original tags on the inside, indicating that it was made by MOUNTCASTLE PTY. LTD of South Brisbane in Queensland, Australia.
Another tag indicates that the helmet is in a size MEDIUM, and was accepted in 1984. Helmet is in very good condition, and we do not expect that it saw much use while in service.
