  • Original Item: Only One Available. This is a totally inert BATF approved example of the seldom-seem Argentinian issue FM 1 Offensive Hand grenade, offered in very good condition. These were developed immediately following WWII in 1945, and these were in production 1945-1965. They were designed and built by the Argentine company DGFM, and remained in use until 1970.

The function of the fuze mechanism in this offensive grenade is the same as in the British No. 36 Mills, but is a bit more simplified. Both utilize a large spring for actuation, which throws the "spoon" quite some distance.

In fine condition, the sheet metal body is undented with the paint showing moderate handling wear. The grenade bottom still unscrews, so that the internal structure can be viewed. It was repainted for training at some point, however in places the green paint is flaking, showing the original red band around the center.

A rare South American grenade from the Cold War Era, ready to display!
