Original Ancient Axe Head Excavated in Victorian Times from a Peat Bog in Northern England

Item Description

Original Item: One of a Kind. We do not exactly what this is but it looks just great, with loads of history and patina! There really is nothing quite like "dug up" artifacts. Purchased in an Estate Sale in Northern England, it was apparently bought up by a plow some time during Queen Victoria's reign. It is clearly old, maybe very old.

Of course one immediately hopes it could be left over from the VIKINGS from over 1,000 years ago, but unfortunately the style and our research has not been able to offer any definitive clues. The odd "hook" under the blade should tell us something but that's the research some lucky buyer can undertake himself. It is OLD and it
looks the real business, an old excavated AXE Head. As the saying goes "HE WHO KNOWS, KNOWS".

A lovely display piece, ready to Research and display!
