  • Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very nice Mid-19th Century French Officer black beaver pelt Bicorne cocked hat manufactured by Rouart of Paris. It features wonderful white ostrich feathers around the brim on fully covering on the back panel, bullion embroidered ribbon, and tricolor French National cockade. The brass button is a replacement British General officer's button made in London. Inside on the ivory silk interior is embossed in gold (now turned dark) with maker information:

    The leather sweatband is in good shape and is mostly in tact. There is repentance of an old paper label which is no longer legible. Size is approximately 7 1/4 US (58cm). Overall condition is very good.
