Original 1961 Soviet USSR Russian Fire Helmet Type M-103-61
- Original Item: Only One Available. Offered in good collectible condition complete with liner, crown pad and chinstrap (so often missing). This steel fire helmet features a helmet plate with an insignia designed but the Central scientific research Institute for fire protection by order of the Chief of the fire Department of the USSR. Design was introduced in 1955 and since 1961, fire helmets developed to the "Type M-103-61" after the improvements began and mass production in the Mozhaisk correctional labor colony outside of Moscow. Original paint present with areas of loss and wear. A rare helmet not to be confused with later versions that appear similar but are lesser quality.
