Original 18th Century Dutch Flintlock Infantry Musket with 45 Inch Barrel - circa 1750

Original Item: Only One Available. Amazingly this is still in the configuration as the day it was made, some 270 years ago. Usually Dutch Muskets have seen a lot of changes and alterations over the years, mostly being shortened and otherwise modified.
This has its original brass mounts, its flintlock mechanism and its long 45" barrel, popular at that time as with the 46" Brown Bess of the same period. The overall length is an impressive 61 inches. Received from long term storage, it has now been very carefully cleaned and serviced. The lock is fully functional, holding at half cock and firing at full.
There are still traces of its Regimental Markings, correctly located near the barrel's muzzle on the left side, right next to the brass front sight. We can just make out the numbers "87" as part of these. Maybe a more trained eye would be able to make out more. It is also marked with a Crown / P proof mark on the breech end of the barrel.
Now in great cleaned condition, this is a very rare French and Indian War era musket, which most likely went on to see much use in the Revolutionary war.
