Original Item: Only One Available. This is a purpose built World War Two British steam condensing can or water can designed for the British Vickers Medium Machine Gun. This example measures 15.5" x 7" x 4". It features original paint and original cord handle wrap. It has a brass maker badge that bears a large S and 1940 as well as company name and address. Features original brass cap with chain and stopper still intact. Nicely stenciled on the side in white paint C1/IBD-0029.
Purpose built military issue water cans are much harder to find on the market than the commercially made petrol cans which were used in the early war years.
