Original Item: The butt cap is the joint between the butt and the receiver on a Lewis gun. The Mk I butt caps proved prone to breakage, so a U- shaped bracket was incorporated that added two side brackets are connected by two screws, which are not currently available. All are in very nice shape; most look unissued.
