Imperial German Spiked Pickelhaube Helmet: Black & Grey

Item Description

New Made Item: The Pickelhaube (plural Pickelhauben; from the old German Pickel = "point" or "pickaxe", and Haube = "bonnet", a general word for headgear), also "Pickelhelm," was a spiked helmet worn in the 19th and 20th centuries by German military, firefighters, and police. Although typically associated with the Prussian army, the helmet enjoyed wide use among uniformed occupations in the Western world.

Our reproduction was manufactured exclusively for IMA. This is the Grey painted version in accordance with the 1915 regulations, the Pickelhaube could no longer use brass, silver or tombak. All issued Pickelhaube would now use grey-painted (and later steel) fittings for all regiments. Therefore, this stunning Imperial German Enlisted 1915 style Pickelhaube helmet is handcrafted of genuine leather with authentic Grey Painted brass hardware, featuring Grey painted brass constructed; Prussian eagle helmet plate, chinstrap clutches, peakmount, removable spike, and a soft leather liner. Copied exclusively from an IMA original sample making it easily the very best reproduction on the market today. Adjustable liner, one size fits most, fits US 7 (56 cm)- US 7 ¾ (62 cm).
