  • Original Item: Padded leather "Y" straps with mounting rings and straps for attachment of tornister backpack. Produced after WWII, these German "Y" Straps are very similar to those used by German Wehrmacht (Army) units. Original WWII production are very rare today. But these postwar examples are ideal for reenactors and collectors. Designed to attach to the waist belt in the center of the back the two straps go over the shoulders and attach to the "D" rings on the back of the triple ammunition pouches worn on the waist belt either side of the buckle to assist with the weight of the ammunition.
