The set consists of matching left- and right-side pouches, each divided into three long magazine compartments for a total capacity of six StG44-pattern magazines. The bodies are made from coarse olive-tan woven fabric with contrasting brown leather closure straps, reinforcement pieces, belt fittings, and rear attachment straps.

Each of the six magazine compartments has an individual flap secured by a leather tab and stud arrangement. The pouches retain the long vertical form required for the distinctive curved 30-round StG44 magazine, while the rear construction includes the belt and equipment attachment system necessary for wear as part of a German field-equipment setup. Small auxiliary compartments are incorporated into the pouch assembly for accessories associated with the weapon and its magazines.

These pouches were assembled as reproductions rather than wartime-manufactured examples. Their principal collecting interest lies in the use of original material combined with period-style construction, making the set particularly suitable for completing an MP44 / StG44 equipment display without representing the finished pouches themselves as original WWII manufacture.

Condition is extremely good overall, with the pair remaining remarkably well preserved. The olive-tan woven fabric retains its strong coloration, showing only light age-related discoloration, minor staining, and gentle creasing. The brown leather straps and reinforcements display attractive age toning with modest surface wear. Stitching and metal hardware remain intact, and both pouches retain their original form and excellent overall appearance.
