These are high-quality European-made reproductions of the German WWII leather bayonet frog, commonly known in German as a Seitengewehrtasche, as used with the standard K98k bayonet and scabbard. Constructed from black leather, these examples feature the additional securing strap around the bayonet grip, a detail commonly associated by collectors with the mounted or cavalry pattern. All frogs have replicated maker markings but markings vary.

Each frog is made from sturdy black leather with period-style stitching and construction. The broad rear section forms the belt loop, while the lower portion supports the steel bayonet scabbard. The additional leather securing strap passes around the bayonet grip to help keep the bayonet and scabbard firmly in place during mounted or active movement.

These reproduction frogs are made to fit the standard German WWII S84/98 bayonet and scabbard, the bayonet most commonly associated with the Karabiner 98k rifle. They are well suited for completing a reenactor belt setup, mannequin, field-equipment display, or an original bayonet whose period frog is missing. Get one before they’re gone!
