New Made Reproduction Items. Very Few Available. These are high-quality European-made reproductions of the German WWII Salzstreuer, or salt shaker container, offered in black, green, and orange. Each example closely follows the general dimensions, form, screw-top construction, and appearance of original wartime examples while remaining clearly identified here as a modern reproduction.
Original German examples of this general type are commonly referred to by collectors as Salzstreuer, literally “salt shaker,” and surviving wartime examples are known in molded Bakelite with removable upper sections and perforated shaker inserts. Orange Bakelite originals are particularly well documented.
Each reproduction consists of a molded plastic body with a screw-off cap and perforated shaker section beneath. Although designed to reproduce the appearance of wartime Bakelite, these modern examples are actually manufactured from contemporary plastic.
These reproductions are well suited for completing a German WWII field-equipment display, reenactor bread-bag setup, mannequin, or other presentation. Get one before they’re gone.
