ORIGINAL ITEM: Produced during WWI these German "Y" Straps are very similar to those used by German Wehrmacht (Army) units. Original WWI production, very rare today, these are ideal for collectors. Designed to attach to the waist belt in the center of the back the two straps go over the shoulders and attach to the "D" rings on the back of the triple ammunition pouches worn on the waist belt either side of the buckle to assist with the weight of the ammunition.
